Most visitors do not land in Korea with Suseo Station (수서역) on their list. They arrive with a hospital appointment, a campus visit, an SRT ticket south or a month of meetings in Gangnam-gu (강남구), and then find that one station at the bottom of the district quietly covers all four.
Line 3, the Suin-Bundang Line, the SRT high-speed rail terminal and the GTX-A line all stop here. For a stay of 7 to 30 nights, that matters far more than a Myeongdong postcode.

Samsung Medical Center (삼성서울병원) sits beside Irwon Station (일원역), one stop from Suseo on Line 3. Treatment courses that run for weeks are common, and a companion needs somewhere to cook, do laundry and sleep properly between appointments.
② Business visitors who work across Gangnam.
Seolleung (선릉역) is roughly 15 minutes away on the Suin-Bundang Line, and Line 2 carries you the rest of the way into the office cluster. You get the commute without the nightlife under your window.
③ Travellers using Seoul as a base for the rest of Korea.
The SRT terminal at Suseo runs high-speed trains south — about two and a half hours to Busan and roughly an hour to Daejeon. If your month includes trips out of the capital, leaving from your own neighbourhood beats hauling luggage across the city to Seoul Station first.
Suseo, Irwon, Daecheong and Daemosan: one corridor, four doors
Think of this area as a short line of stations rather than a single point on the map.
1. Daecheong Station (대청역) is the quiet middle of the corridor.
Low-rise streets, pharmacies, convenience stores and small cafés rather than towers. The rental further down this page is a one-minute walk from the exit.
2. Irwon Station (일원역) is one stop toward Suseo on Line 3.
This is the hospital stop. If your stay is built around appointments, you can leave the flat and be checking in within about fifteen minutes.
3. Suseo Station is two stops from Daecheong.
Four services meet here: Line 3, the Suin-Bundang Line, SRT and GTX-A. It is the reason people who have never heard of this neighbourhood end up living in it.
4. Daemosan Station (대모산입구역) is an eight-minute walk, on the Suin-Bundang Line.
Dogok, Hanti and Seolleung follow in quick succession, which puts most of central Gangnam inside a quarter of an hour.
What daily life actually looks like here
This is a residential pocket, not an entertainment district, and that shapes the whole stay.
Groceries and food. Convenience stores, bakeries and small restaurants sit at street level along the main road. Garak Market (가락시장), one stop past Suseo on Line 3, is Korea's largest wholesale produce market and opens very early — worth one trip even if you rarely cook.
Walking and green space. Daemosan (대모산) rises directly behind the neighbourhood with marked trails, and the Tancheon (탄천) stream path runs north with a flat walking and cycling route.
Noise and nights. Streets here empty out in the evening.
That is the trade-off: less to stumble into after 22:00, but a genuinely quiet night before an early appointment or a 06:00 train.
Getting to the airport. Incheon Airport takes roughly 90 minutes with one transfer, so build in the extra half-hour you would not need from a central hotel.
Parking. Street parking is tight and most buildings have limited spaces. With four rail services on the doorstep, very few visitors here need a car.
