Sindang Station carries Line 2 and Line 6, which is unusual for a neighbourhood this quiet. Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station (동대문역사문화공원역) — the DDP exit — is one stop on either line, and a 15-minute walk if you would rather stay above ground.

Cheonggu Station (청구역) is one stop away on Line 6 and adds Line 5. That gives you a direct ride to Gwanghwamun (광화문), Yeouido (여의도) and all the way out to Gimpo Airport (김포공항) without changing trains.

From Sindang, Line 6 southbound reaches Itaewon (이태원) in about 10 minutes; northbound it runs to Anam (안암). Line 2 eastbound reaches Wangsimni (왕십리) in two stops and Hanyang University (한양대학교) in three, which is the useful detail if you are visiting the hospital there.
